MS BRIGHTSIDE (IRE) sat off the pace in the two path, drew closer in the middle stages, chased two wide around the far turn, moved out and bid three deep in upper stretch, put a head in front after crossing the eighth pole and maintained a short lead over HEY DEMPS to the wire. HEY DEMPS bumped inner rival shortly after the start, was rank early along the inside first time through the stretch, bid two wide on the far turn, took over in upper stretch, lost command inside the eighth pole and stayed on to the wire. NO OTHER LIKE YOU set the pace on the inside, came under a ride when challenged on the far turn, lost command in upper stretch and flattened to third. LADY OF POWER settled in the two path then along the rail, asked on the fence around the far turn, angled out and had to pause briefly during the incident in upper stretch, then failed to rally after. UNION HEIRESS bumped from outside and bobbled a bit early, pulled in the early going near the back, saved ground to the stretch, altered out to avoid fallen rival in upper stretch and could not threaten. TAVOLARA chased two wide into the first turn, drifted out around the bend, dropped back on the backstretch, fell back to last on the far turn, altered out in upper stretch, eased to the wire and walked off. LITA WAY tracked from inside, hugged the rail to the lane, hit fallen rival and unseated her rider in upper stretch, then walked into the equine ambulance and was transported off the track. BLUE OASIS broke through the gate and was reloaded, tracked from inside, followed behind the lead to the lane, tipped out at the top the lane, clipped heels and fell in upper stretch and was transported off the track via equine ambulance. THERE WAS A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INVOLVING THE INCIDENT BETWEEN HEY DEMPS AND BLUE OASIS IN THE STRETCH. FOLLOWING A REVIEW, THE STEWARDS DISQUALIFIED HEY DEMPS FROM SECOND AND PLACED HER UNPLACED FOR SHIFTING IN AND CAUSING BLUE OASIS TO CLIP HEELS AND FALL IN UPPER STRETCH.
