VIVA LA DIVA away alertly and raced to a clear advantage entering the first turn, raced on an uncontested lead through the second turn and in the run down the backside, maintained a clear margin through the final turn, and had enough left to fend off the closers in a huge effort. AVANA unhurried early while dropping well behind the field in the run to the first turn, continued to bide her time well off the leader through the stretch the first time and through the second turn, commenced her bid two wide midway down the backstretch, continued willingly two out from the rail through the final turn, and finished well three wide in the drive to secure the place in deep stretch. SOMEDAY LADY settled well off the lone pacesetter while racing one out from the rail entering the stretch the first time, maintained her position in the run down the backside, rallied from just off the rail entering the final turn, and finished two wide in the drive to garner a share. ZENARI settled off the clear leader while racing two out from the rail through the stretch the first time, held her position into the backstretch, dropped back to trail in the run to the final turn, and failed to make a late impact when called upon.
