DIXIE LAW broke out exchanging bumps on the start, made a savvy move getting to the rail on the first turn sitting in midfield, glided up closing the gap down the backstretch, picked the bit shifting out at the three furlong pole, moved three wide midway on the turn coming with a run, loomed boldly four wide at the head of the lane, switched leads taking control outside at the furlong marker and was kept to the task encouraged right handed in the late running to draw away for the win in deep stretch. PRINCECREST was unhurried at the rear, improved quickly passing foes on the rail entering the backside, narrowed the margin at the half, took the short way around the final turn closing in sharply by the quarter pole, skimmed the rail having all the run straightening out for the drive, fought on gamely inside up front at the furlong marker, could not go on with the winner by the sixteenth pole but did dig in late to just last for the runners up placing at the wire. BUIUM was pushed out on the break, travelled in the second flight between rivals early on, kept a close eye on the lead three foes while isolated down the backstretch, was brushed inside by the eventual winner at the three furlong pole, kept closing in four the wide nonetheless at the quarter pole, angled six wide to be in the mix outside turning for home, grinded away outside rivals gradually gaining in the last furlong, could not get to the winner in the late stages but just missed surging at the finish line outside for the second place share. BACKSTREET EMMA was in tight between horses on the start, stalked four wide near the rear on the first bend, trailed three deep into the backstretch, started to mount a rally on the fence with five sixteenths to run but had to be checked lacking room on the fence at the quarter pole, moved out in the four path in upper stretch and finished up with good late energy to be a fringe player in the end. MILITARY TIME was all alone watching the contesting pair, rallied to the leader in the two path at the quarter pole, shifted out three wide behind the pacesetter at the top of the stretch, could not find more late and evened out at the eighth pole. ERIE SHORES settled close to the back inside a couple of runners on the first turn, stalked ahead of only one runner between horses down the backstretch, was scrubbed on for run outside another midway on the last bend making little gain in two path at the top of the stretch and could only pass the empty frontrunner in deep stretch. GONE WITH DUWYN broke out on the start, dueled inside setting torrid fractions for the first half, disposed of the early speed rival by the three eighths pole, was still holding on three wide turning for home but folded at the furlong marker mainly due to his earlier efforts. THUNDERMAKER broke inwards trading blows with the inside rival on the break, recovered quickly to battle outside but was having trouble navigating the first turn going five wide, continued to press the speedy pace down the back straight outside, had enough giving way up top by the three furlong pole, backed up three wide through the final turn, lost touch with the pack five wide by upper stretch and galloped on in. OSCAR'S ENCORE tracked the lead pair three wide initially, regressed between runners on the first turn, dropped back to last by the half mile marker, laboured well behind the group through the far turn, cantered down the stretch, was eased crossing the finish line and walked off. RIDERS CLAIM OF FOUL #4 BUIUM AGAINST #8 DIXIE LAW AT THE THREE FURLONG POLE RESULTED IN NO CHANGE
