Chart notes
VICOUNTESS was well place on the backstretch in mid-pack, rallied on the turn with a steady advance four wide to engage the pacesestter in mid-stretch and took command inside the eighth pole to be geared down at the wire. HALF BIRTHDAY set a pressured pace to midway on the turn, kicked away from the presser nearing the quarter pole, battled in upper stretch and was outfinished in the final furlong settling to be second best. BEDTIME STORY raced mid-pack into the turn, pulled to prominence with a steady bid on the turn and continued to improve in the lane. NEXT EPISODE tracked the leaders down the backside, lost position on the bend and lacked a good closing kick in the lane. SHORTY MAC broke in a tangle when the ground appeared to break out from under her, dropped back to be the trailer and passed weaker rivals in the lane while saving ground. URBAN COWGIRL chased the pace to midway on the turn and faded. WHITEKNUCKLEFLYER hustled early to press the pace and gave way nearing the quarter pole. CLAIRE'S DARLING was not a threat.
