Chart notes
CANDY REWARD broke well to take command from the gate, set the pace under moderate pressure through reasonable fractions, kicked clear when called upon turning for home and was never seriously threatened in the lane. BLITZ stalked the pace from the fence to the far turn, continued to save ground on the bend cutting the corner turning for home and rallied well through the stretch. NICE AS PIE rated from between rivals in mid-pack down the backside, rallied splitting foes at the three-eighths pole to close the gap, loomed in upper stretch and finished evenly unable to sustain the rally. STORM MIAMI (IRE) prompted the pace to the final turn, rallied to threaten midway on the turn, continued to chase the winner to mid-stretch and weakened in the final furlong. LIFE'S AN AUDIBLE was reserved near the rear of the field saving ground along the rail, moved to mid-pack on the far turn and could do no better lacking a closing rally. SPIRITED trailed to the final bend and passed weaker rivals coming home without impact. AMERICA'S VOW chased the leaders from six wide down the backstretch and proved to be a non-factor. LA GIRVINA tracked the leaders from four wide to the far turn and gave way.
