Chart notes
METALHEAD alternated for the lead outside then edged ahead in the final yards in a long drive for Adorno's 500th victory. OKIE DEN DEN dueled near the inside, led narrowly at the eighth pole and continued gamely. DEPOLI broke step slowly, rushed to contention then weakened in the final eighth. SOLO IN PARIS saved ground close up then rallied mildly in the stretch. REGALPAINS trailed for half mile inside and caught fading rivals. TORPEDO RUN steadied near five eighths pole, raced wide and was no factor. DR. LOU flashed speed down the backstretch and gave way.
