Chart notes
BUSK was sent to the front after the opening sixteenth, showed the way in the two path, built a clear advantage with three furlongs to go, then steadily widened thereafter under moderate urging. SHAPE NOTE tracked from the four path, came under rousing around the turn, spun into the lane in the five path, ran on to claim place in upper stretch but was no match for the winner while clearly second best. BORN FLAWLESS saved ground off of the pace, moved up to claim show in the final furlong then saved that position from an outer challenger late. KUNSHAN BRIDGE trailed in the four to three path into the turn, improved position in the final furlong and missed show at the wire. TURN UP THE TREES pressed two wide and outside of the eventual winner, but failed to sustain pressure around the bend and weakened through the lane. EMPIRE'S BEST bobbled subtly at the start, advanced between rivals leaving the nine sixteenths pole, chased from the two path around the turn and tired.
