Chart notes
INDY ROAD set a pressured pace from the inside, was well handled then was in a long drive and bore out slightly in mid stretch and held sway in the end. NEED THE PURSE pressed the pace while two wide on the backstretch, made a bid then bore in mid stretch and was taken in hand for a stride but was second best in the end. BUCK O FIVE was settled in the early going then rallied four wide into the far turn, made a bid in the stretch but was no menace to the top two in the end. GUITAR MAN was allowed to settled then rallied on the far turn, was six wide in upper stretch but was no threat. COOL AGENT was allowed to settled then rallied five wide on the far turn making a bid but flattened out in the stretch. JETS RIO hit the gate at the start then was settled, rallied seven wide in upper stretch but was no threat. MAGIC SHIPMAN chased the early pace while inside, saved ground on the far turn then faltered. ESSENTIAL STORM was allowed to settled and failed to menace. TAKE A CHANCE INDY was through after a half and gave way. A steward's inquiry was held concerning the stretch run. A claim of foul was lodged by the rider of NEED THE PURSE against the rider of INDY ROAD for interference in mid stretch. After reviewing the film's, no action was taken.
