Chart notes
PINFIRE pressed two wide, vied around the turn, gained control turning for home, drove clear in upper stretch and held sway. ALTERNATE REALITY stalked the top pair from the two path, tipped three wide to take aim on the new leader entering the lane, but proved no match while being kept at bay by that one and was second best. PAYNE trailed the short field in the two to three path, shifted out to the four path in upper stretch and lacked a bid while flopping back to his left lead in midstretch. SHOTSHELL set the pace as the eventual winner applied pressure, vied with that one around the turn, got headed at the five sixteenths pole and weakened through the lane.
