Chart notes
VENIK drifted into the gap leaving the gate, straightened away to be unhurried tracking the leaders from the fence, saved ground through the turn, tipped three wide rallying in upper stretch and took control inside the final eighth to be going away at the wire. BLESS AMERICA broke alertly to be the early leader, settled to stalk the pacesetters, lost position on the bend and re-rallied surging late to gain the place. RIDING A DREAM raced up the fence to take command shortly from the gate, set the pace on a well measured lead, responded turning for home to hold the lead to mid-stretch and wekened in the final eighth. EL CHISPAZO prompted the pace to the head of the stretch and chased through the lane unable to gain ground. MR. SQUEAKY WHEELS went evenly without impact. DRUNKLE made an early bid circling up on the turn and flattened out approaching the quarter pole.
