WHEN SMOKEY SINGS dueled for the lead while inside on the turn, was in a long drive then drew off in late stretch while under strong handling to hold sway. KNOCK'EM OUT JERRY dueled for the lead while two wide into the turn, was in a long drive but weakened in late stretch. FLY RED BIRD FLY rallied three wide on the turn making a mild bid but was no menace in late stretch. BANCHERO was unhurried early on then started a run on the turn, rallied four wide in upper stretch and found a best stride late in the stretch. OUT WITH TY was unhurried early while two wide into the turn but was no threat. MERLIN THE RED showed brief speed while inside to the turn, was used up then stopped. SARGENT RAY was inside and no threat throughout.
