Chart notes
EGYPTIAN chased three wide coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, swung four wide into upper stretch, rallied to take command a furlong out, dug in under a drive inching away to the finish kept to task. GOOD COP coaxed from the gate, showed the way in hand just off the inside patiently handled until roused continuing in the two path at the head of the stretch, dug in under threat and was caught a furlong out, fought on to the finish. LUCKY DRAGON shied in at the start, chased three to four paths off the inside down the backstretch and then five wide through the turn, continued five wide into upper stretch and offered up a mild kick to secure the show honors. CARLIN CONTENTION chased three then two wide, got brushed by DAYTONA MOONSHINE at the seven-sixteenths when that rival balked inside of him at that station, came under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, spun two to three wide into upper stretch, stayed on one paced to the finish. KAZ ICE CHANGER got bumped at the start by SEA SHEPHERD, chased four then three wide coming under a ride at the seven-sixteenths, swung five wide into upper stretch and tired. UNCLE BARRIE coaxed from the gate, chased six to seven paths off the inside down the backstretch and then four wide through the turn, went nine wide into upper stretch and made no impact. SEA SHEPHERD broke in at the start bumping KAZ ICE CHANGER, chased four wide under urging from the five-sixteenths, angled in to spin two to three wide into upper stretch and faltered in the drive. DAYTONA MOONSHINE chased along the inside coaxed along at the nine-sixteenths, was inside a pair of rivals into the turn, then suddenly balked at being along the inside of CARLIN CONTENTION when the seam tightened very slightly and propped making contact with the rail and then that rival forcing the rider out of the right side iron when checked sharply, jogged the remaining way to the finish, the rider unable to regain the right iron and was assisted by the outrider after the wire in being pulled up. There was a jockey's objection by the rider of DAYTONA MOONSHINE alleging interference against CARLIN CONTENTION as well as a Stewards' Inquiry focusing on DAYTONA MOONSHINE and CARLIN CONTENTION at the seven-sixteenths marker. After review, the result was allowed to stand prior to the race being declared official.
