Chart notes
THERMAL sprinted to the front on the inside, patiently handled through the turn, roused in upper stretch and drew away under right-handed encouragement. ARTISMA raced in range three deep into the turn, moved into the two path for a bit then returned to the three path around the bend, kept trying down the lane to gain second but could not threaten the winner. SCARY FAST RIDE stalked two wide into the turn, got crowded by ARTISMA between rivals at the three-eighths pole, continued two wide into the lane, found the rail in the stretch and gained third. YOUNG LOVE broke well then followed closely to the outside of THERMAL up the backstretch, took aim two wide into the stretch, lacked the needed response in upper stretch and weakened. EMIRATES AFFAIR chased from inside, lost ground through the turn, trailed into the stretch and came up empty.
