Chart notes
BARNES prompted two wide and between horses, sparred with only his inner counterpart around the turn, assumed command entering the lane and drew off under a mild drive. CAPTAIN COOK laid off of the pace in the four path, tucked to the two path into the turn, progressed between rivals to claim place leaving upper stretch and was second best. OWEN ALMIGHTY pressed three deep early on, failed to sustain pressure into the turn, chased under strong urging around the bend, got outkicked for place by an inner foe while drifting out to the six path in upper stretch and gave way. ROLANDO broke outwardly, raced at the rear in the five to four path into the turn and failed to factor. TAYLOR'S VERSION set the pace inside of a pair of prompters early on, dueled with only the eventual winner around the turn, proved no match for that one entering the lane and weakened.
