Chart notes
LIKEIKE broke inward to bother the runner up, cleared past the wire the first time while angling toward the inside, rated under a snug hold the middle half mile in showing the way through some soft fractions, responded when called on for some additional run when straightened for home, kicked on with good resolve the final furlong to remain clear to the finish. ALAKAN bothered when the winner broke in to be off slowly, made a steady advance to reach the second flight on the outside after a quarter, moved closer with a three wide move in the second turn, could do little more with the victor through the lane to prove second best. SHAKIN MY HEAD in the second group while between horses, asked along second turn, managed a mild rally through the lane to be clear of the others while not a threat to the top pair. PLAY IT COOL broke back, raced in mid pack while firmly in hand, began a modest rally on the outside turning into the straight, improved position gradually through the lane while also not a serious threat to the top two. BOLD STATEMENT broke sharp, fell back off the issue soon after, went one paced in the two path while being called on for run exiting the final turn, continued evenly through the lane. JOY DIVISION prompted the winner in the two path, continued closest to that rival entering the stretch, had little left the final furlong to lose several positions. JOE CLASS void of early foot, continued to lag second turn, picked off some tiring rivals late while never a serious threat. WIN STREET off slowly, remained back while four wide onto the backstretch, lacked a closing response. TRIATHELON stumbled in tight quarters soon after the break, remained back and was never a factor. STREET STYLE forwardly placed while along the inside for six furlongs, gave way in the drive. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY REGARDING THE EARLY STAGES OF THE RACE, NO ACTION WAS TAKEN.
