Chart notes
HIMIKA raced up close to the outside of the top pair, bid three deep at the five-sixteenths pole, headed REVERA at the quarter pole, took over shortly after, kicked clear under hand urging and taps from a downturned crop and was in hand approaching the wire. REVERA went up to challenge HEAVENLY PRINCESS from inside, inched ahead of that rival at the three-eighths pole, headed by HIMIKA with a quarter mile remaining, relinquished the lead to that rival, shifted inward in upper stretch and stayed on to secure second. STUFFY MIST bobbled a bit leaving the gate then bobbled again early on the backstretch trailing the field, drew closer on the inside around the bend, steadied when REVERA shifted inward took her path in upper stretch, moved out into the clear but could not regain momentum. UMBRALLE stalked the top trio from off the rail, chased four then three wide around the bend and weakened in the drive. HEAVENLY PRINCESS took an early lead then was challenged by REVERA to the inside and fought head to head up the backstretch, vied between rivals briefly at the five-sixteenths pole, could not kick on with the top pair with a quarter mile left to run, tired and eased in the lane and walked off.
