Chart notes
THE GREAT OZ went straight to the lead, set the pace near the inside, edged away and clear on the turn, came out in the stretch, held sway under steady handling. JOURNEYMAN was coaxed forward inside, tracked in behind, shifted out past the quarter, was five wide in upper stretch, chased the winner home. KEKOA advanced inside, kept on in the stretch, was best of the rest. PERFECT CRIME chased from between foes, got the nod for the minor award. LUCKY ROMANCE pursued from outside three to five wide, kept on but needed more. MASON'S GAMBLE was outside a rival off the pace, shifted in late on the turn cutting the corner, ran on. PIERRE was near the inside at the back and never near enough to threaten. PALACE VIEW (IRE) was outside at the back and never a threat.
