Chart notes
INMATE prompted the pace for a half, rallied on the far turn to take a short lead, opened the advantage in upper stretch, battled the runner-up in the final eighth and prevailed getting the perfect bob. NOBLE COURT reserved off the pace to be mid-pack into the final turn, saved ground on the bend, angled five wide at the top of the lane, engaged the winner at the eight pole, dueled for the final furlong and lost the bob leading just before and just after the wire. EXPO CITY was rated off he leaders racing six wide the entire way, was caught wide through the turn and finished willingly on the outside to be best of the rest. VALIANT AWARD tracked the leaders down the backside, moved to threaten from five wide between rivals at the three-eighths pole and dropped back finishing evenly unable to sustain the bid. SPECTACLE set the pace on a clear lead to the half mile pole, came under pressure entering the far turn, battled to the top of the lane from the inside and faded midway down the lane. THE BLUE WAVE was not a factor. JACQUES COUSTEAU was well placed just off the leaders, mounted a challenge on the far turn and flattened out.
