Chart notes
HALF BIRTHDAY set a well rated pace under pressure to the quarter pole, kicked away in upper stretch, dug-in determinedly to prevail over the runner-up in deep stretch. FIRST FORAY pressed the pace in the early going, settled off the pace to stalk from the inside through the turn, angled five wide turning for home and closed well only to be denied settling for second best. VICOUNTESS tracked the leaders through the turn, swung seven wide at the head of the lane and rallied with a mild bid to be along for the show. NAUGHTY FAVORS raced mid-field in the early going, rushed up nearing the half mile pole to engage the leaders, pressed the winner through the bend to threaten at the quarter pole and flattened out in the lane. MORETASTIC was reluctant to load pre-race and went evenly failing to menace. KAZ MUSIC was not a threat. FONDRE was never a factor.
