ATOMIC AGE saved ground near the rear of the field, got set down angled two to three wide into upper stretch, tipped out three paths a furlong from home and offered up a good finish to close stoutly on the outside and was just up in the last jumps to score. WICKED IMPROBABLE tracked the pace along the inside coming under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, took the inside route into upper stretch, rallied to take command a furlong out, dug in under a drive under threat from UP FOR AN OSCAR and then got nailed in the last jumps to the finish by the top one. UP FOR AN OSCAR settled tracking the leader from the two path in closest aim, got given a nudge near the half mile pole when SUSPICIOUSLY NAMED was throttled down after being nudged, chased three wide through the far turn coming under urging at the five-sixteenths, spun three wide for home, ran on willingly to the finish. DISCLAIMER stumbled awkwardly at the start teetering on one front leg and one hind leg both on the same side briefly while nearly forcing the rider overboard save for that rider's sturdy agility and balance, chased two to three wide from near the tail of the field, came under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, angled six wide into upper stretch and kicked on belatedly to the wire. SUSPICIOUSLY NAMED established the front and showed the way a bit eager under restraint just off the inside through the first turn, tucked inside and continued to pull a bit keen and was given a nudge and began to open up from the field looking to settle with five furlongs to run, widened away quickly and had the rider peer back and take hold coming under a grip half a mile from home and had the field take closer order closing in and latching on to the outside, got given a nudge and was lightly coaxed in the far turn widening away once more, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, dug in under threat from a pair and was caught a furlong out, then weakened in the late stages. TEAM OF RIVALS chased two to three wide coming under urging at the five-sixteenths, angled three to four wide into upper stretch and stayed on one paced to the end. IN THE DARK three wide through the first turn, chased three wide coming under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, angled five wide into upper stretch, weakened in the drive.
