PIPER'S CAUSEWAY away quickly then dueled from inside up the backstretch, edged clear from outer rival around the bend, led under left then right-handed encouragement into deep stretch, came under threat from BERLIN WALL in the last sixteenth and managed to hold on. BERLIN WALL got bumped between rivals leaving the gate, raced up close two wide into the turn, cut the corner into the stretch, drifted in and came close to the rail midstretch, continued up the fence and drew alongside PIPER'S CAUSEWAY in deep stretch, gaining inch by inch to the wire and just missed. POKERKNIGHTATVEES broke out and bumped, chased from inside, tipped out into the lane, rallied three deep late and lacked the needed final kick. STRONGERTHANBEFORE dueled from outside, yielded to PIPER'S CAUSEWAY around the bend, kept trying down the lane and earned a minor award. UNCLE CHILLY followed in range five deep leaving the backstretch, moved into the four path around the bend and failed to rally when called upon. BINGING was forwardly placed four wide into the turn, chased three wide into the lane and weakened. COACH CRONIN bumped leaving the gate, fell off the pace when hit with the kickback early, raced along the rail then two wide into the lane and was never a factor. GEEZER bumped FRANK BULLITT in the beginning, stalked three deep early, dropped back while moving to the two path on the turn and weakened. FRANK BULLITT bumped leaving the gate, climbed early and dropped off the pace, ridden along through the turn and weakened. CATMANSUE chased four wide between rivals approaching the turn, got put in tight and steadied early on the bend, came five wide into the lane and came up empty in the lane. ALPINE THUNDER was fractious in the gate, broke a step slow, raced outside a rival at the back into the turn, angled out and entered the lane in the five path but failed to make an impact.
