THE WINE STEWARD coaxed from the gate, chased three wide coming under coaxing near the quarter pole and continued three wide into upper stretch, rallied to wear down the leader taking command just outside the sixteenth marker, then edged clear to the finish. VETTRIANO showed the way in hand along the inside patiently handled until set down spinning from the two path into upper stretch, took to the rail straightened away, dug in under a drive and was caught near the sixteenth marker, then ran on to just hold the place honors over a pair of rivals on the line. ACOUSTIC AVE chased four to five paths off the inside down the backstretch, tucked three wide briefly at the nine-sixteenths before heading inside into the turn, angled five to six wide into upper stretch set down for the drive, offered up a mild kick to secure the show honors. GRAND OPENING four then three wide in pursuit, came under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, swung four wide into upper stretch, kept on to the finish. CALDO CANDY chased just off the inside coming under urging three furlongs out, spun two to three wide into upper stretch, made no headway. LOCKE AND KEY coaxed from the gate, chased just off the inside and then along the inside under a ride from the seven-sixteenths, angled five wide into upper stretch and made no impact. JACKSON HEIGHTS chased four to five paths off the inside down the backstretch and then three wide through the turn coming under urging at the three-eighths pole, went seven wide into upper stretch and made no impact. HIT THE POST coaxed from the start, chased along the inside coming under encouragement three furlongs from home, cornered just off the inside into upper stretch, took to the rail straightened away and tired.
