CATALINA DAY challenged for the early advantage, forwardly placed throughout and drove clear down the home stretch. RUNNING BAYOU raced within contention, came around the turn on the outside, made a late bid, racing five wide and finished willingly. PENNYS DEAL dueled for the early advantage, took the lead around the turn and lacked a late kick. OCEAN JACKPOT lacked early speed, saved ground around the turn, moved up, but was no factor. FLASHY BOY vied for the early lead, saved ground around the turn and weakened. HANDSOME HAROLD pressed the early pace, dropped back and was outrun.
