TARTABULL , rank along the inner rail leaving the backstretch, moved to the two path to pass VIDA at the head of the stretch, angled back to the inner rail in mid stretch, closed determinedly and was up approaching the finish. CASEOFTHEMONDAYS , three deep around the turn, disputed the pace, held a short lead in mid stretch and finished gamely. PONT AVEN raced in the two path around the turn, disputed the pace to mid stretch and continued gamely. GOOD MAN DAN , four deep on the turn, chased the pace, floated to the five path in upper stretch and flattened out. J J PACHECO , three deep around the turn, swung to the six path in upper stretch and lacked the needed rally. VIDA hugged the inner rail, disputed the pace to the stretch and weakened. SKULLDUGGERY raced in the two path on the turn, drifted wide in upper stretch and weakened. CRYSTAL KNIGHT bumped BROADSIDE SALVO when bearing in leaving the starting gate then was outrun. BROADSIDE SALVO unseated his rider after stumbling and being bumped leaving the starting gate. BROADSIDE SALVO galloped around the turn, was captured by the out rider and walked off. There was a stewards' inquiry concerning the start but no action was taken.
