Chart notes

XARABELLA tracked in behind inside while in hand, was asked at the quarter pole, tipped out for the stretch run, gained gradually on the leader, took charge by the sixteenth pole, edged clear late. MOONLIGHT PROMISES quickly moved through to the lead, edged clear after the opening quarter, was challenged in upper stretch, fought on, was outkicked. CAIRO GIRL settled off the pace, moved out from four to six wide turning into upper stretch, finished best to be gaining but too late. MEW N ME tossed the head slightly at the start, moved forward inside tracking while saving ground, ran on evenly. HIBISCUS got away well, stalked from outside, was mostly three to four wide, lacked the needed late kick. TAP MY DESIRE broke awkwardly and slowly, raced outside at the back, came into upper stretch five wide, failed to menace. BERTHA was mid-pack and encouraged along racing near the inside, was never near enough to threaten. GOLDEN SUNSET was at the back inside, came off the fence on the turn, failed to make a bid. GINGER ZIP was in hand early taken back off the leader stalking in behind three wide, moved in a path up the backstretch, continued two to three wide on the turn and was asked for run by the five-sixteenth but came up empty.
