Chart notes
WILD LIKE THE WEST pressed from outside for six furlongs, lost touch with ISLAND HOME in upper stretch, stayed close into the last sixteenth, then came back on and overhauled the runner-up approaching the wire. ISLAND HOME broke in and bumped, set the tone under pressure from WILD LIKE THE WEST to the outside, shook free from that rival at the top of the lane, led clear into deep stretch, grew a bit weary late and got run down by WILD LIKE THE WEST in the closing moments. FORTUNATE TRUTH settled early in the two path, remained two wide through the far turn, offered a mild response in the lane and gained the show honors. DATS MS. BLAME bumped leaving the gate, tracked along the fence to the far turn, shifted to the two path around the bend, tipped out in upper stretch and failed to produce a bid. RABID RESPONSE bumped in the beginning, steered to the rail, saved ground to the stretch and could not rally. AUTHENTICALLY bumped leaving the gate, taken back to last along the rail, moved out on the backstretch, went three wide into the far turn, angled back to the rail again and failed to menace.
