MOTION GRANTED had an early hustling ride when encouraged by a right handed crop soon after the start with intent on getting the lead, cleared off to the fence up top by the three quarters pole, continued a brisk pace while shadowed outside down the back straight, remained under a busy ride holding off the chasing foes around the last turn, had the fence clinging to the lead in upper stretch, was getting leg weary in the final furlong and just lasted at the wire for the front end score. SILVER RALEIGH tracked the frontrunner outside in the early stages, kept a close eye on the pacesetter down the backstretch while three deep at the half, started to inch up narrowing the margin at the midway point of the final bend and was gaining gradually outside the winner in the final furlong but came up just short at the finish line. HIGHLY POTENT prompted the pace inside on the first turn, hounded the pacesetter while between rivals along the backside, saved ground under a ride making little headway on the leader through the far turn, had the rail in the mix still fighting up top entering the stretch, could not gain on the winner shifting out to the two path at the sixteenth pole and was no match for the lead duo in the late running, easily settling for the show money at the wire. FUN FELLA was allowed to settle into stride trailing the group going three wide into the first turn, lagged behind when the pace quickened down the backstretch, started to mount a rally passing inside rivals three furlongs from home, shifted out to the five path for the drive and found his best stride late to get up for a minor placing in the end. SOUTHERN STYLE sat isolated in midfield in the beginning, was scrubbed for more in the two path outside another at the five sixteenths pole but was going the wrong way, angled out three wide at the top of the stretch between horses and ran on evenly to the finish line. STARVIN was brushed outside at the start, settled near the rear on the fence early on, offered a brief run inside horses down the backside closing the gap at the half, kept pace with others throughout the turn but weakened inside foes two wide at the furlong marker. DARE TO BE KING broke inwards on the start, stalked close to the back outside a rival on the initial bend, could not improve outside runners while in the three path down the backside, trailed the field when passed outside on the final turn at the three eighths marker and came up empty on the fence in the late running.
