SPECIAL WAN (IRE) stalked off the rail then angled to the inside on the clubhouse turn, moved into range leaving the backstretch, applied pressure to the leader from outside at the five-sixteenths pole, kicked clear past the quarter pole, drifted to the inside in upper stretch, came under a ride midstretch and held safely under a tap of right-handed encouragement late. BREATH AWAY (GB) laid off the pace outside a pair of rivals then moved into the two path for the first turn, gained while angling out on the second bend, came five wide into the stretch, finished well down the lane to edge MEDORO for second but could not reach the winner. MEDORO got crowded between rivals early, raced outside a rival in mid-pack through the early going, drew closer two, three, then four wide on the far turn, showed late run in the final furlong but got outkicked for second. CREVALLE D'ORO settled outside a rival, moved into range leaving the backstretch, roused two then three wide on the second bend but flattened out in the late stages. DEEP SATIN tracked from out of range along the inside, gained ground past the midway point, continued to give chase from the rail then shifted to the two path on the far turn and weakened final furlong. PUBLIC ASSEMBLY got put in tight between rivals shortly after the start, angled to the inside, followed from mid-pack to the far turn, moved into the two path around that bend, had to wait behind a wall of rivals in upper stretch and could not rally once in the clear. TEMPTABLE (GB) reserved in the two path around the first turn, steered out to the five path on the far turn and improved position down the lane. NADETTE (FR) unhurried in the beginning and angled to the inside, coaxed along on the far turn, cut the corner into the stretch, moved off the fence a bit in the lane and lacked a rally. LADY CLAYPOOLE (IRE) checked not too long after the start, moved into the two path racing near the back, went three deep into the far turn, got moved out to the four path briefly before moving back in a bit, angled out at the top of the lane and was never a factor. LIGURIA got put in tight and steadied early, angled to the inside trailing the field, saved ground on the far turn, tipped two wide into the lane and could not make an impact. VIOLETA M (ARG) stepped to the front from inside, opened up a comfortable advantage, carried a diminished lead into the far turn, confronted the winner at the five-sixteenths pole, relinquished the lead at the quarter pole and retreated in the stretch.
