Chart notes
BRAQUET was reserved early on the inside, moved out and made a five wide sweep on the far turn to be clear by the quarter pole, then was sent down and given two pops right handed leaving the three sixteenths and drew off and then another one inside the furlong grounds to prove much the best. SO FULLY SUE stalked the early pace two wide and was ridden along to be in between rivals by the five sixteenths and two wide by the quarter pole, proved to be no match for the winner while keeping on to be clearly second best. QUALIFIED HIRE was four wide into the first turn and tracked the pace from the outside, was ridden along to make a bid by the five sixteenths three wide but weakened while besting the rest. VOLATILITY was well placed early on the inside and tired. SOUTHAMPTON DOCK was rated along two wide and ridden along on the far turn and tired. VANILLA SUNDAE set the pace on the inside and shook away leaving the half mile marker but was headed by the five sixteenths and gave way. While horses were in the paddock for the seventh race a storm came with strong winds and heavy rain and racing was cancelled for the remainder of the card.
