Chart notes
CAPT. CANDY set the early pace and was clear on the inside on the turn, then repelled a bid from JOKING WAY nearing the furlong marker and shook clear to prove best under a drive. JOKING WAY stalked the winner and made a three wide bid leaving the turn to loom boldly by the furlong marker but was turned back and had to settle for being clearly second best. TRIVISTA was settled early and raced two to three wide on the turn but had no kick and was one paced while besting the rest. REMARKABLE MO was off a step slow and settled four wide on the turn but had no rally. SWING OIL was reserved early towards the inside, swung out four wide leaving the turn and moved in leaving the furlong marker and had a belated kick. EDDIEMUSH was reserved on the outside and raced four wide on the turn and came wide into the lane but failed to menace. LAFITTE'S FLEET was off slowly, moved in to be two wide on the turn while trailing and never factored. NAUTICAL NATURE showed brief inside speed and wilted on the turn.
