Chart notes
PAVEL'S ETOILE stalked three deep early, took aim two then three wide on the turn, drew alongside the leader past the eighth pole under left handed urging and edged clear in deep stretch. TIGER OF THE SEA dueled from outside, carried a narrow lead into the final furlong, lost command at the sixteenth marker and held second. SALLY'S WISH dueled inside TIGER OF THE SEA to the eighth pole, could not kick on with the winner in deep stretch and flattened to third. PURE CHAOS stalked between rivals then moved inside for the turn, saved ground to the stretch, pursued within striking distance in the lane from the fence but failed to find the needed late kick. APPLE PIE broke a length slow, trailed up the backstretch, passed a rival in the two path on the turn, kept trying down the lane but needed to find more. DELLA TERRA tracked the top pair inside a pair of rivals, had to steady at the seven-sixteenths pole, took hold again briefly at the three-eighths pole, moved off the fence in upper stretch and lacked a rally.
