Chart notes
MY FINE AQUILINE was four wide into the first turn and remained on the outside while being rated in the clear, made a four wide move leaving the five sixteenths to vie for command on the outside by the quarter pole, then gained a short lead nearing the furlong marker and drew away late to prove best under a drive. LADY GIULIANA stalked the pace three wide and made a bid to vie for command between rivals by the quarter pole and fought on to the furlong marker but could not match strides with the winner late and had to settle for second best. ROYAL ITCH set the pace from the inside and was headed nearing the quarter pole and weakened in the lane while saving the show award. KATE WINS was well rated along the inside to the five sixteenths pole, moved out and was four to five wide by the quarter pole but lacked the needed winning bid and had no kick. ATHENA'S GHOST was reserved early, advanced two wide nearing the quarter pole, swung out four wide leaving the turn but flattened out then weakened. ISLANDINTHESTREAM pressed the pace two to three wide and tired after six furlongs.
