MY PERFECT WAVE settled along the rail, closed in around the far turn, loomed two wide turning for home, angled out to the middle of the track to unleash a rally, drew alongside the top pair inside the sixteenth pole and got up in the final moments. BINT AL DANDY (IRE) dueled into the first turn then took control around the bend, met the bid from PURA VIDA PRINCESA, drifted out while battling with that rival down the lane, then made contact with that rival while getting caught by MY PERFECT WAVE near the wire. PURA VIDA PRINCESA pulled badly following the leader from inside to the backstretch, tipped two wide past the five-sixteenths pole, challenged into the stretch, got floated out by BINT AI DANDY (IRE) through the lane while fighting head to head and lacked the needed final kick while getting bumped between rivals nearing the wire. MUSICAL SONG dueled from outside into the first turn then tugged the rider along when ceding command, remained close while pulling early on the backstretch then settled into stride, chased two then three wide on the second bend and weakened down the lane. MAGICA pulled in the two path or outside a rival early, cut to the inside late on the far turn and also weakened in the stretch. THERE WAS AN INQUIRY INVOLVING MY PERFECT WAVE, BINT AI DANDY (IRE) AND PURA VIDA PRINCESA LATE IN THE RACE. FOLLOWING A REVIEW, THE STEWARDS' UNANIMOUSLY RULED THAT ALTHOUGH BINT AI DANDY (IRE) DID MAKE SLIGHT CONTACT WITH PURA VIDA PRINCESA NEARING THE WIRE, IT DID NOT COST HER A CHANCE AT A BETTER PLACING AND THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE.
