Chart notes
SILSBEE was well placed just off the pace under some restraint, saved ground on the turn, was asked in the two path at the quarter-pole, rallied to get the lead outside the sixteenth-pole, responded well to the challenge of the runner-up in the final sixteenth and held gamely under strong urging. HANGOVER HEAVEN was last to commence, settled at the rear, saved ground on the turn, moved out while put to a drive in upper stretch, rallied to make a bid inside the sixteenth-pole, fought with the winner to the finish and was denied while able to get the place. KERRY went to the front then showed the way with a clear advantage, raced inside on the turn, was asked near the quarter-pole then came under a drive in upper stretch, lost the advantage to the winner outside the sixteenth-pole and weakened but was clear for the show. GOLDEN ROCKET settled on the outside, was roused in the three path on the turn and lacked the needed kick. SLIGHTLY BUSY chased the pace, went around the turn in the two path, dropped back into the final furlong and tired. SOLOSHOT settled off the pace, was urged along while moving from the two path to the four path on the turn and failed to rally. ACCELERATED NEWS settled on the outside at the rear, dropped from the four path to the two path on the turn and was no factor.
