Chart notes
ECUMENICAL pulled clear leaving the five eighths, dropped in and set a rated pace two wide, responded when set down in upper stretch, drifted out some in the final furlong and proved resolute to the wire. TOM S had speed to lead early, ceded to the outer winner and angled out, stalked three wide, moved in past the five sixteenths, gave hard chase from the head of the lane, was floated out a touch and kept on gamely. RAILROAD INN , off the pace, circled five wide into the lane and kept on willingly. FURIOUS GEORGE bore out at the break, pursued early while outside a rival, remained off the rail into the lane and came up empty. JOSE CAN'T SAY rushed up early and chased the top pair, drifted out late and failed to menace. DOWNTOWN MAN broke slowly and was outrun. LEONARDINI , between runners early with some pursuit, shifted inside while unable to keep pace and weakened. DIVINE FUTURE broke a step slow, failed to keep pace and faltered after three furlongs.
