Chart notes
AWESOME HAWAIIAN leaned inwardly and bumped a rival at the start, dueled for the lead with an outer rival around the turn, shook free in upper stretch as a wider bidder took aim then held sway through the final furlong. ROMANTIC RIDE broke a step slow and was bumped by an outer foe at the start, stalked forwardly along the inside, bothered an outer foe while moving out to the three path leaving the three furlong pole, took aim between rivals entering the lane, bid outside of the clear leader in upper stretch but was fended off through the final furlong and proved second best. LOOKIN AT MAC lacked speed in the two path, shifted out to the five path entering the lane and moved up willingly. ELECTION NIGHT pressed four deep, gave way to the leaders in upper stretch, yet kept on while hanging on his left lead in the final furlong, rebid for show at the sixteenth pole but got outkicked. BARSTOOL pursued from midpack in the three path, shifted inwardly to avoid trouble approaching the five sixteenths pole and stayed on mildly. ALTER BOY sparred for the lead two wide and outside of the eventual winner around the turn, but faded between horses in upper stretch and weakened while hanging on his left lead. INSPECTOR FRED dropped back after breaking towards the front, trailed in the three to five path and failed to factor. LEDBETTER pressed three wide and between horses, steadied back when an inner foe shifted across his path leaving the three furlong pole and weakened.
