VICTORY FOR VETS stalked the pace while three wide on the backstretch and into the far turn, rallied four wide in upper stretch and was in a strong drive to take command in late stretch and was best in the end. KING RUSSELL vied for the lead from the inside, was in a long drive then bore out in mid stretch under left handed urging and bumped with CLASSIC CUT then was in a drive but was out finished in the end. PRESIDENTIAL was stalking the pace while two wide on the backstretch, was blocked behind rivals then angled out to be four wide in mid stretch, was gaining ground but was out finished for the place. BIG BERNIE vied for the lead while three wide on the backstretch, was in a long drive but weakened in late stretch. CREATIVE MINISTER was unhurried early then raced two wide on the far turn, moved out to be six wide for the stretch drive but was no threat. DOMINANT SPIRIT stalked the early pace while inside, saved ground on the far turn then faltered in the drive. CLASSIC CUT vied for the lead from between rivals on the backstretch, was in a long drive then was in tight and taken up sharply when KING RUSSELL bore out in mid stretch and stopped. A claim of foul was lodged by the rider of CLASSIC CUT against the rider of KING RUSSELL for interference in mid stretch. A steward's inquiry was also held. After reviewing the film's, the steward's disqualified KING RUSSELL from second and placed last for interference in mid stretch.
