Chart notes
PENS STREET bobbled at the break and then got bumped at the start by MIDNIGHT CONCERTO, raced just off the inside through the first turn and then three to four wide thereafter, came under coaxing at the three-eighths pole, continued three to four wide into upper stretch, rallied to issue a challenge inside the final furlong, seized narrow command inside the sixteenth marker and gamely dug in to prevail on the wire. PURLOIN got brushed at the start by WALK WITH ME, raced four wide through the first turn, settled four then three wide in aim of the front, came under near the five-sixteenths, took over command near the quarter pole and spun two to three wide into upper stretch, dug in under threat and was caught inside the sixteenth marker, fought on to the finish. MIDNIGHT CONCERTO broke out at the start bumping PENS STREET and then got bumped by LUNA MOTH, chased along the inside until tipped two then three wide into the far turn, came under coaxing at the seven-sixteenths, continued three wide into upper stretch, offered up a mild kick. WALK WITH ME broke out at the start brushing PURLOIN, raced three wide through the first turn, prompted the pace of the leader three then two wide between foes, came under urging nearing the five-sixteenths, swung four wide into upper stretch in retreat and weakened in the stretch. DANZIT coaxed from the gate, showed the way in hand along the inside under some pressure from a pair coming under coaxing at the seven-sixteenths, took the inside route into upper stretch, weakened. LUNA MOTH broke out at the start bumping MIDNIGHT CONCERTO, chased along the inside and then just off the inside, came under encouragement two to three wide with seven-sixteenths to run, angled six wide into upper stretch, and weakened.
