Chart notes
GREY PRINCESS had the fence while stalking close to the back of the pace, could not improve position but moved closer along the backside, made a sharp move quickening inside horses at the five sixteenths pole, angled out to loom five wide between foes in upper stretch, stated on tge incorrect lead through the lane but nevertheless got the better of the boys outside in deep stretch to inch away for the victory in the shadow of the wire. TIZ ROMANTIC had the rail while sitting in midfield, narrowed the margin on the frontrunner inside of two others on the rail by the half, took up the chase closing in midway around the last turn, shifted outside coming on at the quarter pole to be a threatening presence between runners three wide in upper stretch, was gaining gradually on the pacesetter in the late running but was slightly outkicked by the winner outside in the final few strides in a photo finish for the win. MAD DOG N JOE was on a mission, hustled with intent on the lead from the outer post to be clear up top on the fence around the first turn, had an uncontested advantage down the backside, continued up top but rivals were getting closer throughout the far turn, still was stubbornly holding on in the two path finding more in the lane by the eighth pole but could not fend off rivals late and gave way grudgingly on the inside losing the three way tight finish for the win. LOBBY BAR stalked three wide near the rear on the first turn, made little headway in the three path down the back straight, had a mild turn of foot advancing four wide around foes at the five sixteenths pole to be in with a chance in the five path turning for home, could only finish up one paced through the stretch and settled on the fringes in the end. THREE SONNY SIDEUP was content sitting well back of the loose leader in the early going, began to reel in the pacesetter with runners on each side, tracking at the half, had little offer on the final turn back pedalling in the two path midpoint of the last turn and could not get involved on the fence in the late running. LIL BIT GANGSTA broke a step slow to see this field in the early stages, still lagged behind around the far turn, had little to show for the drive and could only manage to pass an inside weary runner while four wide at the furlong marker. MEDIA SENSATION settled in midfield just off the rail, took closer order tracking the leader three deep outside two others at the half, was scrubbed in for more but regressed between rivals at the five sixteenths pole and emptied of in the two path by mid-stretch.
