PROMISING moved well settling into stride on the fence watching the front pair in the beginning, took closer order by the half, edged up at the five sixteenths pole waiting for the cue to go, shifted off the fence roused for more at the quarter pole, pounced in the three path turning for home and edged away from a stubborn frontrunner outside in deep stretch. PRINCESS JADE was loose on the lead setting a moderate pace for the first half of the race, continued up top unopposed around the second turn, had a slim lead with company outside at the top of the stretch, determinedly fought on to the finish line on the fence having something left for the drive but could not fend off the in deep stretch just missing holding on in the final seventy yards. NEENAH broke out on the start, was content to sit back off the pacesetter on the first turn, still remained behind the frontrunner applying little pressure down the back straight, was roused to go after the leader between horses at the quarter pole to be in the hunt four wide at the top of the lane, could not keep up to the lead duo who had it to themselves in the final furlong but did dig in late lasting outside for the show money at the wire. MIKELLE stalked close to the back end on the outside of another runner, pulled the rider closer between rivals at the half, kept pace isolated in mid-pack three wide on the last turn, battled inside for the show money midway down the lane but settled for a minor role when crossing the finish line in the end. DETERMINED FIRST broke a touch slow on the start, stalked on the fence near the rear, saved ground on the far turn making little headway, skimmed the rail coming with a rally in upper stretch, but was outkicked fighting for a minor placing inside runners in the final furlong. PRINCESS ANASTASIA was bumped on the inside at the start, settled in mid-division inside another in the early stages, offered a brief rally three wide from the three eighths pole until the quarter marker circling rivals, shifted to the five path for the drive but stalled by the furlong pole. DAZZLING CRUISER travelled three wide outside of horses climbing at the rear around the first bend, made no progression in the three path down the backside, was urged for more offering little response in the four path at the quarter pole and had little to give in the stretch drive. NANTUCKETS DAY settled outside a runner in midfield, could not hold forward position three deep outside rivals who were making a run at the half, travelled three to four wide on the last turn making no impact on the outside, swung out widest in the eight-path turning for home but was empty in upper stretch.
