Chart notes
MRS. ASTOR tracked the pace from inside, roused in upper stretch, advanced while following behind PUBLIC ASSEMBLY into deep stretch, then surged late outside that rival to get up in time. PUBLIC ASSEMBLY stalked the top pair along the rail, waited for room behind the leader at the top of the lane, gained an opening and challenged with a furlong remaining, took over midstretch, put WILL THEN away at the sixteenth pole but got run down by MRS. ASTOR approaching the wire. PARADISE LAKE tracked outside a rival or in the two path, spun three wide into the lane, finished willingly in the final furlong and gained third. SUN OF HILL (BRZ) saved ground from off the pace around the first two turns, went outside a rival on the backstretch, chased three wide into the lane, angled out further and produced a mild rally to earn a minor award. WILL THEN grabbed the early lead and set the pace while under pressure from CORNELIA FORT, maintained a short lead to the quarter pole, put CORNELIA FORT away turning for home, challenged by PUBLIC ASSEMBLY with a furlong remaining, relinquished the lead midstretch and flattened out in the last sixteenth. VENGANZA pulled while showing early speed three deep then took stalking position in the two path, tipped three wide around the third turn, launched a bid in upper stretch but flattened out in the late stages. CORNELIA FORT pressed the pace from outside to the quarter pole, lost touch with the leader exiting the final turn and weakened down the stretch. HEY JESSIE settled next to the fence, chased inside a rival at the back into the lane and failed to menace. MUSICAL RHAPSODY (IRE) tucked inside at the back of the pack, raced outside a rival on the final turn, steered out into the lane and had little left for the drive.
