Chart notes
EMIRATES AFFAIR dueled from outside, took over midstretch, drifted to the three path, put MIRACLE BALL away leaving the bend and held AUDITORY at bay through the final furlong. AUDITORY chased the top pair from inside, angled out on the turn and loomed four wide turning for home, finished determinedly to the outside of EMIRATES AFFAIR but could not summon the needed late punch. DISCREPANCY tracked from off the rail at the back of the pack, took the turn three then four wide, flattened out in the final furlong but was able to secure third. MIRACLE BALL held a short lead while fighting with EMRIATES AFFAIR to the outside up the backstretch, lost command midway around the bend, could not keep up with EMIRATES AFFAIR coming into the stretch and weakened in the drive. ELEGANT SWAY stalked the dueling leaders outside a rival, fell back to last while running two then three wide around the turn, tired and eased in the stretch and walked off the track.
