Chart notes
NEIGH DUDE chased between rivals, chased on the turn, rallied three wide into the stretch, closed steadily, surged late between horses and got up at the wire in a driving finish. YULETIDE GALLOP pressed the pace in the early stages, bid two wide on the turn, dueled into the lane, battled heads apart with PALM ISLAND past the furlong marker, dug in gamely to the finish, led late and just missed. TRY HARDER raced off the pace inside, advanced four wide on the turn, came five wide into the lane, commenced a late rally outside rivals, surged at the wire and got the nod for third. PALM ISLAND set the pace on the inside, dueled into the stretch, dug in gamely inside in the final furlong and battled willingly to the finish. MIDLANER chased close up on the inside, chased on the turn and weakened. DOWNTOWNCHALYBROWN chased three or four wide, made a mild bid on the turn and tired. MISSION FIRST raced off the rail, off the pace and was outrun.
