VERITY broke half a step slow, tracked from the three path, then in the five path into upper stretch, ran on to claim place at the sixteenth pole and narrowly held that position from an outer challenger at the wire. TAPIT QUICK was brushed by rivals on both sides at the start, trailed in the four path, tucked to the two path into the turn, spun into upper stretch in the four path before moving out to the eight path in midstretch and offered a belated kick to narrowly miss place at the wire. MARMALADE SKYE broke a beat slow, raced off of the pace four wide, then two wide around the turn, pursued in the three to four path and between horses in upper stretch and stayed on mildly. ANAKARINA brushed with an inner foe at the start, dueled two wide, led into the lane, but got outkicked by an outer bidder reaching midstretch and faded. ELLEN JAY broke a step slow and brushed with an outer foe at the start, saved ground in midpack, chased in the two path into the final furlong and lacked a bid. METAPHYSICAL lacked speed in the three to five path, moved wider in upper stretch and made little impact. GRAND JOB deled for the lead with an outer rival, got headed by that one entering the lane, got outkicked by a wider challenger reaching midstretch and weakened.
