Chart notes
NECESSITY vied inside of a pair of rivals leaving the chute, forged an advantage and led in the two path as an outer foe sutained pressure around the turn, then drove clear in upper stretch. IVORY AND EBONY prompted outside of the top pair, pursued under urging in the four path around the turn, ran on to vie for place through the lane and saved that position between rivals at the wire. COLONIAL ROSE laid off of the pace in the three path, shifted out to the six path in upper stretch, ran on to offer a late bid for place but missed at the wire. MERRY MADISON vied two wide and between horses, continued to prompt outside of the eventual winner and from the three path around the turn, but proved no match for that one in upper stretch, battled on for place through the final furlong but missed. TRUSTY TROUTMAN tracked from the two path, chased around the turn and tired. JEWEL BOX tailed in the three path and got outrun.
