Chart notes
GYPSY SQUALL sat immediately behind the pace on the inside, attempted to get through along the rail approaching the eighth pole, quickly rerouted four wide to surge past dueling leaders. CUSTOM SPARK quickly set a pressured pace from the inside, was challenged to duel by JAYJAYJAY after entering the stretch, yielded to GYPSY SQUALL in the final sixteenth but was able to hold for the place award. JAYJAYJAY was off a step slow, rapidly gained position three wide to stalk the pace going into the turn, started to duel for command down the stretch but needed more. ROADSIDE BANKER opted to race in the middle of the pack, backed up off the pace through the turn, entered the stretch in the five path before angling in towards the three path to improve position. OCEAN VOYAGER saved ground to press the early pace from the two path, angled out five wide at the quarter and faded. TAUREAN raced off the pace, entered the stretch six wide, made no impact. CAUGHTUPNDAMOMENT trailed throughout, no factor.
