ROSE FORTUNE had her head in front on the outside early on, went eye to eye fighting up top at the half, appeared to get the better of the inside foe on the turn inching away at the quarter pole, maintained a slim advantage outside in the drive to the wire but could not fend off the unyielding winner inside coming back on in deep stretch for the gutsy win. REGAL AFFAIR was bumped on the inside at the break, stalked close to the back along the back straight, could not keep up to others at the back of the pack having three furlongs still to go, rallied two wide by the quarter pole, shifted out widest in the six path at the top of the lane, was full of run storming home outside through the stretch but could not get to the front pair just missing with the fast closing burst at the finish line. NILE PASSAGE travelled three deep outside two foes in midfield, dropped back three wide early in the turn, was hard ridden starting to have a turn of foot a quarter mile from the prize, shifted to the five path straightening out for the drive and had late interest between horses to be a fringe player in the end. KASUMI'S GHOST had a hustling ride at the break but was relegated to the rear by the half mile marker, advanced smartly on the rail at the three-furlong pole, waited behind a weakening runner at the quarter pole, scraped paint mounting a rail rally down the lane and finished up with intent inside runners fighting for a minor role. SPUN FOR FLATTER broke a step slow, recouped to be nestled inside a rival watching the engaged duo with a half mile to run, was scrubbed on at the three-furlong pole making no gain on the lead pair, could not threaten the front twosome who had it to themselves by mid-stretch and faded between horses in the final seventy yards losing a couple of positions late. GEORGIA RAIN veered out on the break, tracked the front pair outside another at the half, kept pace on the turn while under right handed asked at the quarter pole, shifted to the four path turning for home offering little run and yielded by the furlong marker. NO FRILLS had a slow start trailing the field leaving the gate, improved to mid-pack on the rail at the half, made little impression between in the third flight on the turn, looked for a seam three wide in upper stretch but failed to fire in the late running. FLY TRUE NORTH leapt up at the start to stalk near the rear three deep outside of runners, lagged behind being passed inside at the five sixteenths to see the field in midturn, shifted out to the six path in upper stretch but failed to be a menace.
