Chart notes
GRAND BEY settled off the pace, gained position along the inside of the turn, launched a five wide bid at the eighth to surge past the competition. QUARANTINO sat nicely behind the pace, angled out four wide entering the stretch to press the pace, found best stride late but needed more. J J VALENTIN opted to race in the middle of the pack between rivals, finished well to be up for the show award late. FRAME UP tracked the pace five wide, closed willingly in the late stages of the stretch to improve position. DON CORLEONE set a brief early pace, vied for command three wide through the turn, flattened out in the stretch. EILEEN'S DESPERADO pressed the early pace, vied for command between rivals through the turn, took sole command at the three sixteenths, yielded inside the final furlong. CORMAN moved up along the inside to claim a brief lead at the half, vied for command through the turn until giving way at the quarter, weakened in the stretch. BOUND TO SUCCEED settled not too far behind the pace between rivals, retreated at the quarter. NO AUTHORITY trailed throughout, no factor.
