Chart notes
MY CAIRO KID dropped in early and settled well off the pace, picked things up while saving ground leaving the far turn, remained inside with progress into the stretch, idled awaiting room near the furlong grounds, was afforded an inside path soon after, closed determinedly under pressure, battled to the inside of SEAHORSE STAMPEDE through the final fifty yards and forged ahead to prove best in the final strides. SEAHORSE STAMPEDE saved ground under early rating, came under a ride into the far turn, eased out past the three eighths and gained three wide into the lane, moved to command near mid stretch, edged away slightly under a drive, dug in when confronted from the inside, kept on valiantly and ceded very late. MCCLUSKY settled off the inside, angled four wide for the drive and rallied mildly. BAIE LONGUE sped clear early, was a bit keen and opened up a lengthy advantage soon into the backstretch, remained well in front and under a light hold leaving the far turn, failed to contain an outer bid near the furlong grounds, drifted out a bit and weakened. THE MAN THE MYTH stalked the loose leader, was under a ride leaving the three eighths and weakened. SUPERSONIC ME , three wide early, was not a factor.
