Chart notes
ALOTLIKECHOCOLATE vied for the early lead, drove clear down the backside, saved ground around the second turn and held off a late challenge by GOMARKGO for the win. GOMARKGO pressed the pace, raced close throughout, made a bid around the final turn, closed well, couldn't catch the winner, but was best of others. YANKEE PRINCE lacked early speed, made a late bid, finished wide and proved no match for the top two. ONGOING CHALLENGE raced in the middle of the field, saved ground, put forth an even effort and was outfinished for third. BIGFUNONTHEBAYOU challenged for the early lead, saved ground and weakened. PINEAPPLE WILLY raced near the back in the beginning, moved up at the 1/2 mile pole, faded down the stretch and was never a factor. THIRD COAST BORN broke in, checked, raced in the back and was never close. MR DIGITS bumped at the start, pressed the early pace and dropped back. ALOTLIKECHOCOLATE WAS DQ'D DUE TO A POSITIVE TEST.
